Biography

King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal also known as K1 De Ultimate, he is one of the most popular and influential Fuji music artists of all time. He started his music journey at age 8, won local competitions by 15, and later joined Ayinde Barrister’s Supreme Fuji Commanders band. K1’s first album, “Iba,” was released in 1980, and his iconic album, “Talazo ’84,” in 1984. He is celebrated for popularizing the Talazo Fuji style, bridging generational and tribal gaps. He embarked on global tours from 1986, performed at renowned venues, and made history by being the first Fuji artist at the WOMAD Festival in 1995. K1 De Ultimate is a trailblazer in the Fuji genre. He has released over 80 albums and won numerous awards. He was recently crowned the Olori Omo Oba Akile Ijebuland by HRM Oba (DR) Sikiru Kayode Adetona (Ogbagba II) Awujale of Ijebuland. He is considered the King of Fuji.
